What we sell, and to whom

A name, registered properly, in your name

UHL Hosting is an approved reseller working through the Openprovider API. The service is designed for Swiss and European teams that want the domain, website and operating scope handled by one accountable engineering partner.

Registrant data remains in the customer's name. Renewal and restore costs, eligibility rules and transfer constraints are made visible before they become urgent. When the pricing service cannot return an approved amount, the interface shows “On request” instead of estimating one.

Eligibility, term, transfer locks and what happens after an expiry differ by registry, and the differences are the sort that cost people domains. Each page carries live pricing for all four operations.

A reliable renewal process combines current contacts, an appropriate registration term and a known recovery path.

Transferring to us?

We currently coordinate transfers with you: auth codes, nameservers and registry timing included. Ask before choosing a cutover date because some gTLDs cannot move within 60 days of registration or a previous transfer.

A domain on its own does nothing

A registered name with nothing behind it serves an error page. Managed WordPress is in limited Beta and managed Medusa is in Preview. We can scope either service on our Kubernetes platform and attach a domain after controlled onboarding.

Frequently asked questions

Is the price I see the price I pay?

Yes. Search returns a quote tied to the specific name, and the cart is charged from that stored quote rather than from whatever the page happened to display. Premium names are quoted individually, which is why a search result can differ from the indicative price on an extension page.

Who owns the domain?

You do. Domains are registered with your registrant data, not ours, and we do not obstruct a transfer out. Ask for the auth code and you get the auth code.

What about renewal prices?

Registration and renewal are priced separately and both are shown before you commit, together with transfer and restore where pricing is available. This makes the longer-term cost visible before registration.

What happens if I let a domain expire?

It depends on the extension, which is why each one has its own page. gTLDs like .com, .org and .dev run a grace period, then a 30-day redemption window where the name stops resolving and only you can restore it for a much higher fee, then five days of pending delete. .ch is different: deletion starts a 40-day transition period during which your registrar can re-register it for you.

Can I transfer a domain to you?

Yes. Ask us and we will run it: you get the auth code from your current registrar, we check the nameservers and tell you honestly what the timing looks like. Note that gTLDs are locked against transfer for 60 days after registration or after a previous transfer, which is registry policy rather than anything we control.

Do you sell email hosting with a domain?

No. We register and manage the name; mailboxes are not something we operate. If you want a site behind the domain, that is our managed hosting.
